How Beckon works
Once a day, at a time you choose, Beckon asks how you are. Write a few words, or use the microphone on your keyboard. Beckon chooses one passage from the World English Bible for that moment, with a short note above it. You can listen to it read aloud. The same passage stays open until 3 a.m., and then a new day starts.
Subscriptions
- Free: three readings and three shares each week.
- Premium: unlimited readings and shares. Monthly ($7.99), annual ($49.99, with a seven-day free trial) or family ($79.99 a year, shared with up to six people through Apple Family Sharing). Prices are in US dollars. Canadian prices are shown in the app.
- Cancel: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Beckon. You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for.
- Restore on a new phone: open Beckon → ⋯ → See plans → Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account.
- Refunds: Apple handles payments, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Common questions
The reminder doesn’t arrive. Check iPhone Settings → Notifications → Beckon and make sure notifications are allowed, then set your time again in Beckon’s settings.
The passage didn’t fit. Tap “Not quite” under the passage and Beckon will offer another. If it keeps missing, email us what you wrote in general terms and we will look at the matching.
I want a different voice. Tap the voice name next to Listen and choose Heart, Grace, Michael or Puck.
Which Bible is this? The World English Bible, a public-domain modern English translation. Scripture is shown exactly as published, never rewritten.
Is what I write private? Your check-ins stay on your phone. To choose a passage, the text is sent once to our server and an AI model without anything that identifies you, and it is not stored. See the privacy policy.
